"Mom Worry" is very real thing. Yes, I'm sure there is "Dad Worry" as well. But I'm speaking from a mother's point of view.
Mom Worry keeps you up at night. Even when you're already getting very little sleep, the worry of so many possibilities running through your head causes some very real insomnia. And once you worry about every little thing you can think of, you start to worry about getting too little sleep.
And while my husband is a very good father, he doesn't worry. He just doesn't. That's why this graphic spoke to me (and apparently many others as it floated around the internet this month).
How do you clear your mind? How do you stop the worry? And what's causing it? I believe online forums, Facebook comparison, and even parent/mom groups cause some anxiety and add fuel to the fire. They start questions like: Her kid knows his ABC's... why doesn't mine? Or... Should we be eating entirely organic?
I'm sure the worry never subsides. But for now... I'm trying to count sheep instead of worries.
